Be Not Arrogant — Thou Can Be Replaced
Guard your heart with all diligence
Our world is saturated with motivational speaking, with words such as “your destiny is your destiny” and “you are unique.”
I’m not here for those.
But what about “no one can replace you or what you’re called to do on earth”? I understand the positivity this carries — to help us face our assignments and complete them.
But that motivation does not align with the Bible.
How we respond to God and His assignment for us can alter the course of our destiny.
Examples: Moses became mighty because he encountered God. When he disobeyed Him, he was replaced with Joshua.
Saul was chosen by God yet replaced by David when Saul broke divine protocols.
Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, was replaced and someone else took his place.
So, be not arrogant. You are not irreplaceable.
